Last night (6 November 2019) saw local businesses pit their wits against each other in The Soma Leo Foundation Quiz 2019: Battle of the Brains, which took place at Revolution Bar in Ipswich.
It was a full house for the popular event, with 20 teams competing to be crowned the winner, all hoping to avoid the dreaded wooden spoons. The results gave us many twists and turns throughout the night, but the quiz was eventually won by the Becketts team, for the second year running. It was a closely fought battle, and Becketts snagged the winning spot after achieving a ‘perfect 10’ in the final round, nudging them into first place by just one point!
Well done to everyone who took part, which included teams from: Arch Insurance, AXA, Barclays, Becketts, Castons, Concertus, Distag QCS, Handelsbanken, Hiscox, MHA Larking Gowen, MAD-HR, RSA, Sackers, Seven Group, Coes, Pound Gates, Suffolk Community Foundation and Sevatas.
Thanks to the generosity of the participants and local businesses, who donated raffle prizes, we raised over £1,500 for the charity, which will go towards the running costs of The Soma Leo Academy.
