In October 2013 we agreed to fund £1,567.80 for the Ipswich Opportunity Group from our Acorn Fund with Suffolk Community Foundation. Their purpose is to advance the education of pre-school age children who have additional needs (including physical, sensory, and learning difficulties) particularly through the provision of play activities. The money allowed them to purchase a specialist supportive chair, therapy bench, dark den and a mains controller for switch use. Four members of our staff recently visited the group and saw the equipment in action, which was already having a real positive effect with the children.
